You can add one pound of meat use chicken breast, cooked in 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil if you prefer) prefabricated ¼ cup chopped onion 2 cups jar of salsa (any brand, hot or mild) 1 package taco seasoning (any brand) 16 oz refried beans, 3 cups of heated fresh lettuce, chopped 3 medium tomatoes , finely chopped 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese Heat tostada shells at 350 degrees for about 5 minutes. (I mean placed on an oiled baking sheet, but the oil is not necessary.) In a large skillet, cook 1 lb. ground beef (or chicken) ¼ cup chopped onion until brown and cooked through. Drain if necessary. Add 2 cups salsa 1 package taco seasoning. Simmer, uncovered, over low heat about 10 minutes. Now install your tostadas: Spread about 1 tablespoon of heated refried beans on each tostada shell.
