In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make her sister’s luscious Lasagna. Made of lasagna noodles, layered with meat sauce and a variety of Italian cheeses, this is an easy and great-tasting lasagna! Ingredients: 6 lasagna noodles 1 pound lean ground beef 32-oz. jar spaghetti sauce (I used Prego “Italian sauce.”) 3 cups shredded pizza cheese–mozzarella and provolone (I buy this mixture already prepared, but you can shred 1 ½ cups of each of the two cheeses.) 1 ½ teaspoons dried parsley flakes 1 egg, beaten dash of salt and pepper ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese 8-oz. package mozzarella cheese slices cooking oil spray Cook 6 lasagna noodles according to package directions. Brown 1 pound of ground beef and drain, if needed. Add a 32-oz. jar of spaghetti sauce to browned ground beef and heat until bubbly. In a bowl, mix 3 cups shredded pizza cheese, 1 ½ teaspoons parsley flakes, 1 beaten egg, and a dash of salt and pepper. Place 1/3 of the meat mixture in the bottom of a 13-inch by 9-inch by 2-inch baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking oil spray. Place 3 cooked lasagna noodles evenly on top of meat mixture. Add half of pizza cheese mixture. Repeat layers, adding meat sauce, then 3 noodles, then cheese mixture, and ending with a layer of meat mixture. Sprinkle ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese on top. Place 8-oz. sliced mozzarella cheese in a layer on top of the Parmesan cheese. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes, until browned and bubbly. Serve immediately with

In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make a hearty and tasty dish, Spaghetti with Italian Sausage and Peppers. This dish is a large platter of spaghetti topped with a rich sauce of Italian Sausage and green and red bell peppers and onions. There is a sprinkling of Romano cheese and parsley to top it off. Ingredients: 18-oz. hot Italian link sausage, cut into 1/2-inch slices (You may use more or less sausage, and you may substitute mild inn place of the hot, if you like.) 2 green bell peppers, washed and cut into strips about 1-inch long 2 red bell peppers, washed and cut into strips about 1-inch long 2 medium onions, peeled and cut into chunks about 1-inch long 24-oz. jar of Italian sauce (I used Prego Traditional, but any Italian sauce will do.) 14-oz. jar of pizza sauce (Any pizza or Italian sauce will be fine.) 16-oz. spaghetti, cooked according to package directions (I cooked only 8 oz. spaghetti, and used only half of the sauce, freezing the remainder of the sauce for a pasta meal later.) 1/2 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese (You may use any type of Romano or Parmesan cheese, and you may use more or less than the 1/2 cup.) 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley, washed, dried, and snipped (You may use more or less than 1/3 cup.) Brown the 18-oz. sliced Italian sausage in a deep skillet over medium heat. Stir gently to brown, but do not stir vigorously, as this will crumble the sausage.) When done, remove sausage with a slotted spoon, and place on paper toweling to drain

~Please Read~ RoboStir sure works good on TV ??? Dad passed last winter and I think of him often. He made some pretty good Spaghetti sauce. Finding his old hand written recipe, I was motivated into making his sauce exactly from it, except for the twist. I will use the Robo-Stir Cooking bot, I ordered on TV. I especially hope it works on the meat browning and simmering. It says in the ad it has 3 speeds, however both of mine (they come in pairs) have only 1 speed and it did not work well for me. Maybe the non stick pan had something to do with it, but that is what most cooks use nowadays. Many folks make Pasta Sauces in many ways, and I know there are good ones. But for this presentation, I have preserved and present my Dad’s Recipe, as he made it over the years for us. demonstrated in this video how easy Spaghetti with marinara sauce tasty Betty. This is a great recipe to use when you’re in a hurry, and you have a recipe that is delicious and economically wanted! Ingredients: 1 medium onion, chopped 3 cloves garlic, chopped ¼ to ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes, chopped 3 tablespoons virgin olive oil 16 ounces tomato sauce 28 oz can crushed tomatoes, cut 3 tablespoons fresh parsley (you can use dried herbs in the dish. just use 1/3 as much as for fresh herbs listed) 1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano 2 tablespoons tablespoons chopped fresh basil 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon pepper ½ lemon juice ½ teaspoon grated raw cup Parmesan Spaghetti 16 oz package (I only have 16 ½ ounce package, but I had lots of sauce left!) 1 teaspoon salt to a boil spaghetti (optional) In a deep pan, heat 3 tablespoons olive oil over medium heat. Add 1 chopped onion, 2 cloves minced garlic and ¼ to ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes. Sauté until onion is clear., Ca 5 minutes. Add a 16-ounce can tomato sauce, a 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes, 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, 1 1/2 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil, 1 tablespoon teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon black pepper. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes. Add ½ teaspoon of lemon juice and simmer 5 minutes more. Once you start your spaghetti sauce simmering
